Career Transitions: Are You Management Material?

At some point every professional, young or old, finds themselves with a choice on what direction they want their career path to go in. One of the possibilities might be to move up the company ladder and take on a management position.


If this is the case you have to ask yourself, "Is this what I want?" or "Is this what I am supposed to be doing?" Moving up the corporate ladder is a commitment, but it is a choice that can come with a lot of rewards in the long run.


Senior position holders have been through this process and may ask themselves, "Is this what I wanted 10 years ago?" or "Did I achieve everything that I wanted to achieve?" Whether your answer is 'yes' or 'no', it is important to reflect on your experience at your company for personal and professional growth. If you feel "stuck" or "trapped" in your current role with no upward mobility, this workshop could also help you rethink your career path and what new opportunities to focus on.

What will the event cover?


The evening will focus on tools and tips on how to move up the corporate ladder whether it be taking the leap from intern to full-time employee or taking on a higher management position. With an experienced HR background, our speakers will share what they typically look for in a candidate and how they assess and screen talent. The discussion will also touch on creating your personal brand, career mapping, corporate culture and employee relations.


Who is the event for?


The event is targeted at people who hope to hold management positions in the future or already hold senior positions and are looking to gain insight on how to achieve their workplace goals from an HR professional's perspective, as well as what will be expected of them in their new role or role they already hold. Those with a general interest in the topic are also welcome. This event will be held in a mix of English and Chinese (a translator will be on hand just in case).
