From 2010 to 2016 he worked with international luxury brands such as Guerlain, Shangri-La, Richemont, Berluti to shape their digital strategy for the Chinese market. As head of the newly created China Business Innovation & Investment office for Shiseido, Carol is helping to shape the next phase of transformation for the company. By leveraging the dynamic ecosystem and entrepreneurial talents in China, Carol will help to accelerate the implementations of innovations and new business models, to create new beauty business as the next growth driver of the Shiseido group on a global level. Previously, she has held a number of management positions at multinational firms such as Unilever, Burberry, L'Oreal, and Marriott where she has led global strategy & innovation functions across regions and categories.

Ryan Shuken is a China market early stage venture capital specialist. With 15 years of experience in Shanghai, China building businesses and investing in over 150 early stage startups with SOSV. He is the Founder and Managing Partner at Lean Venture Partners, Growth Hacker in Residence at Chinaccelerator and SOSV, founder of the China Startup Pulse Podcast and startup entrepreneur.
Ms. Yi Zhou joined Silicon Valley Bank in Shanghai as a director to manage top VC fund relations. Silicon Valley Bank offers products such as venture loans, GP loans, capital call line facilities, introductions to excellent startups and LPs to VC partners to better their portfolio and funds.
Prior to that, Yi joined S&P as their China Market Development Leader in 2013. On behalf of S&P Capital IQ, Yi’s role is to help understand the China market in depth, develop actionable business strategies, and build stronger relationships with local partners, clients and regulators. Prior to joining S&P Capital IQ, Yi worked at Wind, China’s largest desktop provider, coordinating their partnerships and managing their international department.
Yi holds undergraduate degrees in Korean and Economics from Peking University as well as a Master’s degree in Education from Harvard University. She had a book of essays published during college and paid college tuition with it. She writes for various public WeChat accounts and hosts events for MBA associations. She currently serves as Vice President of Harvard Club of Shanghai.
Paul is an innovation evangelist. He is passionate about technology and keen to apply technologies to digitally transform traditional businesses to be future ready. Paul started his career as open-source developer in Los Angeles, then joined Li & Fung in Hong Kong. As the founding member of Explorium, he is currently managing the innovation center inside the Explorium, a globally-connected open innovation ecosystem for supply chain and retail.

Rong Yu leads technology & innovation assessment, technical enablement, and partnerships with startups. He is also responsible for leading technical engagement with ecosystem partners such as VCs, industry-leading enterprises, and 3rd party incubators & accelerators. He has 10+ years of experiences working in Microsoft. Prior to joining Microsoft Accelerator Shanghai, Mr. Yu led product management of MySQL Database on Azure in R&D in Microsoft China Cloud Innovation Center. He and the team built the product from ground zero and successfully released General Availability in 18 months with average over 20% MoM growth in the following 12 months. Previously Mr. Yu also worked in the Windows server group as a program manager. Prior to joining Microsoft, Mr. Yu was a development manager in WebEx Communications (now part of Cisco Systems) responsible for all manageability solutions for WebEx Online Meeting services.
